FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

Can I register on race morning?

You will be able to register for the 5k the day of the race but you will NOT be able to register for the half or relay on race day (unless certain circumstances).

 

When is packet pickup?

Refer to Race Schedule

 

Can I have someone else pick up my packet?

Yes someone else may pick up your packet.

 

Can I walk any of the events?

Yes, we encourage walkers and runners for all foot race events!

Is there transportation to the start line for the half?

Yes, There will be a bus shuttle from Gress Complex to the start of the half. For bus shuttle times check out the schedule of events. Transportation is ONLY for runners and walkers NO BIKERS. If biking you must have your own transportation to the start. 

 

What is the Crooked Crane Trail like?

The trail is going to be a mowed surface. A lot like running on a mowed CRP field. We are going to take care of rodent holes and make sure its the best it can be for the race. The trail is mostly flat with some rolling hills. It follows the south side of Patterson lake. 


Are there water stations?

YES! There will be water at mile 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11.

Are the porta-potties on the half route?

Yes, There will be bathrooms at Gress Softball Complex, the start, the relay exchange (mile 6) and at the finish.

 

Can I cancel/ change races? 

You can change your race registration for the same year but there are NO REFUNDS. 

 

What happens if the weather is not favorable? 

The race will still happen rain or shine. If there are safety concerns for any reason and the race is cancelled there will be NO refunds. We will work with people to get the following year registration waved. 
 

How do I get to the bus pickup/finish line area?

Take interstate exit 59 and head south. At State Ave take a right (south) over the railroad tracks. Turn left on 5th St SW and a left on 8th Ave SW. You are there. If you put in the address to find the Gress Softball Complex you will get lost.
